SRG London is recruiting for an HSE Specialist for a scale‑up chemical technology organization. This is a brand‑new position that will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities:

- Build current HSE frameworks, policies, and procedures; refine existing ones to align with OHSA and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments for chemical processes, lab operations, equipment, and pilot-scale activities.
- Lead investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective action planning
- Develop and deliver safety training for employees
- Maintain compliance with OHSA, WSIB, environmental standards, chemical handling requirements, and documentation
- Promote a collaborative safety culture across operations, engineering, and R&D;
- Establish emergency response plans, drills,



and communication protocols
- Support environmental reporting, waste management, and chemical storage compliance
- Manage and support the Drive‑in‑Safety program
- Other duties as required

Requirements:

- 3–7 years of HSE experience, ideally within a chemical manufacturing or technical environment
- Demonstrated experience implementing new safety programs; start-up experience is an asset
- Post‑secondary education; working toward CRSP is an asset
- Experience with leading and lagging indicators
- Strong ability to assess risk and recommend controls
- Ability to build credibility and influence across teams; strong conflict‑recognition skills
- Openness to feedback and commitment to continuous improvement
