In this position, you will assess residents' individual needs, interests, and abilities within our long-term care setting. The Recreation Therapist develops and communicates comprehensive treatment plans while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective engagement in recreational activities. You’ll guide Recreation Therapy Aides in delivering quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate residents for their recreation therapy needs
• Create personalized treatment plans for engagement
• Oversee Recreation Therapy Aides in activities




• Document residents' progress and adjust plans
• Help coordinate and plan recreational programs
Requirements:
• Degree in Recreation Therapy from a recognized institution
• Eligible for Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association registration
• Experience in healthcare facilities preferred
• Excellent communication skills with residents and teams
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
