The Process Engineer will be responsible for Cycle time improvements, creating working instructions, troubleshooting equipment and process issues on the production lines. Candidate will drive improvement of the overall manufacturing processes through analysis and strategic planning in accordance with business goals and strategies. Success in the role includes a positive, proactive approach to daily work along with strong communication and organizational skills.
Willingness to wear multiple hats and be a team player in a fast-paced environment. This is a full time position.
Responsibilities
- Analyse current production procedures and making recommendation for improvements
- Optimize all machine processes by reducing scrap, cycle times and tool change times
- Work on the production floor to analyse workflow, space requirements and equipment layout to determine where the process can be streamlined
- Assist in launches of new programs by building a new process to ensure quality products.
- Resolve quality and process issues
- Responsible for the training and development of the machine operating staff and the process education of shift supervisors.
- Utilize best practices in assignment planning to make the most productive use of resources, time and material
- Responsible for setting up and maintaining process set up parameters.
- Other duties as assigned
- Understands, follows and enforces all established Health & Safety, GMP and company policies and procedures
Qualifications: · Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and organizational skills.
· Post Secondary education in Engineering.
· ASQ CQE or Six Sigma Green Belt required.
· CPIM Certification from APICS is an asset.
· 1+ years of Manufacturing experience.
· Attention to details and reporting activities.
· Self-motivating with a positive attitude.
· Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
Typical working conditions:
· Schedule may change depending on business requirements. Continental shifts, days, afternoon or nights may be required.
· Office and Manufacturing environment with continuous interaction on manufacturing floor where PPE is required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
