Description

Burnaby Blacktop Ltd. is looking for an experienced Paving Foreman to lead asphalt paving crews on municipal, commercial, and industrial projects. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who takes pride in quality work, safety, productivity, and cost control.

Experience Required

- Minimum 3–5 years of asphalt paving experience, with foreman or lead hand experience

What We’re Looking For

- Solid knowledge of paving operations, grading, and equipment
- Experience with job costing, daily reports, and production tracking
- Ability to lead a crew and communicate clearly on‑site
- Strong safety mindset and problem‑solving skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 is an asset)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

- Lead and supervise paving crews on‑site
- Plan daily work activities and coordinate crew,



equipment, and materials
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification
- Read and interpret drawings, grades, and site plans
- Work closely with project managers and superintendents
- Complete accurate job costing, including labor, equipment, and material tracking
- Monitor productivity and adjust operations to stay on budget
- Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, organized job site
- Train and mentor crew members
