We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and creatively minded Product
Development Associate to join our Product Development team. This role supports the full product lifecycle from concept development through production helping bring beautifully crafted stationery products to life. You will work closely with design, production, QC, and external manufacturing partners to ensure every product meets our creative vision and quality standards.

THE JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Development Duties:
● Create and maintain product launch calendar and detailed work-back timeline.
● Maintain a thorough understanding of product details and specifications, including digital file and technical requirements for production.
● Research new product categories, manufacturers, and order samples.
● Organize and maintain archival library of FWP products, samples, and prototypes.
2. Vendor Relations:
● Place orders and track proforma invoices/purchase orders.
● Communicate with local and overseas vendors for arrangement of samples, drafts,
communicate revisions to designs (2D and 3D), ordering, and logistics.
● Communicate effectively with vendors, adjusting to their local business hours as needed.
● Oversee production processes to ensure quality and timely delivery.
● Foster and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
3. Quality Assurance and Coordination:
● Work closely with internal production/QC teams, design team, and external vendors/manufacturers to uphold product and packaging quality standards.
● Communicate feedback and resolve quality issues promptly, ensuring all products meet our quality requirements.
● Develop and implement rigorous quality control protocols in partnership with vendors and internal teams.
4. Project Management:
● Coordinate cross-functional product development projects by maintaining project timelines, tracking key milestones, and ensuring deliverables remain on schedule.
● Manage and update internal project trackers, development schedules, and cross-
functional databases to ensure data accuracy and visibility across teams.
● Lead cross-functional project coordination by ensuring timely communication between internal stakeholders.
5. Licensed Projects:
● Support the coordination of Licensed Project execution,
including draft submissions,
compiling, interpreting, clarifying, and communicating feedback between the Dev team and the licensor.
● Arrange shipment of samples to and from licensors/manufacturers.
● Maintain understanding of licensor requirements and guidelines to ensure design compliance.
General Responsibilities
● Undertake reasonable responsibilities in support of overall company growth and product line expansion.
● Undertake all other reasonable duties assigned by the direct supervisor/manager with dedication and professionalism.
Assets:
● Has 3–5 years of hands-on experience in product development, production, sourcing, or project support roles in consumer goods or creative industries.
● Strong communicator, written and verbal.
● Organized, familiar with Google Sheets (creating Gantt charts, pivot tables, etc.).
● Proficient in English and Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
● Proficiency with Adobe Suites/editing software and illustration skills, to facilitate communication of feedback and design edits.
● Comfortable translating design feedback and technical specifications in English and
Chinese.
● Familiar with popular licensed properties, pop-culture, and anime. Fan/collector.
● Has an appreciation for design, storytelling, and collectible consumer products
(stationery or licensed products is a plus).
● Knows the difference between stationery/stationary, they're/there, your/you're, and HATES it when someone gets it wrong.
