The Product

Owner for Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Genie is responsible for shaping, delivering, and continuously improving enterprise analytics and conversational AI capabilities. This role bridges business stakeholders, data engineering teams, platform owners, and governance partners to convert business questions into scalable, trusted, and actionable data products. This role owns the product vision, roadmap, and prioritized backlog for enterprise reporting, semantic models, Microsoft Fabric data assets, and natural-language analytics experiences such as Databricks AI/BI Genie or Microsoft Copilot.

The Product

Owner ensures analytics products are aligned to business priorities, governed appropriately, and adopted effectively by end users. Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, release priorities, and success metrics for Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and AI-enabled analytics capabilities. Write user stories, define acceptance criteria, prioritize requirements, and groom team backlogs for Power BI reports, semantic models, Fabric pipelines, Lakehouse, and related analytics assets.

Configure, curate, and optimize natural-language analytics experiences by defining trusted datasets, sample questions, business terminology, instructions, and expected response patterns.

Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business leaders, analysts, engineering teams, governance stakeholders,



and platform owners to translate business needs into scalable data and AI solutions. Governance, Risk, and Quality: Ensure data accuracy, access controls, security, compliance, documentation, and quality standards are applied across reporting solutions, semantic layers, and Microsoft Fabric capacity usage. Drive user adoption of self-service reporting and conversational AI tools through enablement plans, training materials, usage monitoring, feedback loops, and continuous improvement.

Undergraduate degree and / or product certificate ~3 to 5+ years of experience in data product management, analytics delivery, business intelligence, or agile technology delivery. ~ Knowledge of the Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, including semantic models, dataflows, Lakehouse, workspaces, pipelines, and capacity considerations. ~ Experience translating business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, data models, reporting solutions, or AI-enabled analytics features. ~ Familiarity with conversational analytics, natural-language querying tools, AI/BI Genie, Microsoft Copilot, or similar generative AI capabilities for enterprise data. ~ Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar delivery platforms. ~ Improved quality, consistency, and governance of semantic models and certified data products. Reduction in manual reporting effort through reusable data assets, automation, and AI-enabled insights.
