Join the effort to support Métis citizens in Meadow Lake as a dedicated full time Citizen Support Worker. Your role will focus on connecting individuals with vital health and social services.
Under the guidance of the Ma Faamii Operations Supervisor, this permanent position requires expertise in navigating complex multi-agency systems. Candidates should have a background in human services and community support. You'll play a key role in documenting available services, facilitating life skills training, and helping citizens transition back to their home communities safely.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist citizens with housing and health navigation
• Create a comprehensive inventory of community resources
• Foster relationships with other service providers
• Support clients who have accessed external services
• Conduct individual and group training sessions
Requirements:
• Education in human services or related field
• Familiarity with community service systems
• Knowledge of intergenerational trauma
• Proficiency in communication, especially with Indigenous contexts
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
Support Métis citizens in overcoming systemic barriers through your expertise in community resources and advocacy.
