Our client is a leading advanced manufacturing and technology organization known for delivering complex, high-quality products in a fast-paced environment. They are seeking aProduction Controllerto coordinate production workflows, manage material readiness, and support production priorities to ensure manufacturing schedules and delivery commitments are met. Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Planning, and Engineering teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the efficient flow of materials and work throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Release production orders according to established manufacturing schedules.
- Prioritize production kits and provide status updates during production and planning meetings.
- Track and expedite production readiness, including materials, equipment, tooling, and documentation.
- Coordinate with Operations, Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Program teams to resolve material shortages and schedule constraints.
- Monitor activities across multiple work centers and communicate production priorities.
- Expedite shortages to support manufacturing schedules and delivery commitments.
- Ensure ERP transactions accurately reflect production activities and material movements.
- Track and follow up on NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and MRB (Material Review Board) activities affecting production.
- Ensure production orders are completed and closed accurately within the ERP system.
- Identify and communicate risks that may impact production schedules.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning, scheduling, and execution.
- May be required to support different shifts based on operational needs.
Qualifications
- DEC (Diploma of College Studies) in Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience
- 0-5years of experience in production control, manufacturing,
scheduling, planning, operations coordination, supply chain, or a related environment.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, aerospace, industrial, electronics, or other complex production environment is considered an asset.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and production planning concepts.
- Understanding of product structures, bills of materials, and manufacturing workflows.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
- Demonstrated sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership.
- Customer-focused mindset with robust internal stakeholder management skills.
- Adaptability and ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Language Requirements
- Bilingual inFrench and English, both written and spoken.
- English is required to support collaboration with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders outside of Quebec.
