AMCL is looking for Full time Suet Plant Production Team Members. The Suet Operator Position wages start at $21.30 plus shift premiums and opportunities for OT.

With our site running out of Hagersville Ontario we have been able to provide the Canadian wild bird seed market with our own branded products as well as premium custom-blended packaged caged animal and bird seed products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

1. Prepare mixes and operate mixers and production line by following formula specs
2. Assemble and disassemble equipment when required
3. Troubleshoot when equipment issues arise
4. Monitor the mixing and pouring process to meet weekly schedule requirements
5. Regularly weigh cakes and take samples for Quality purposes
6. Set up production line for specific products as instructed
7. Take samples of each mix for Quality
8. Assist in filling and palletizing of boxes on A Line or B Line, secure operation of forklift
9. Complete all required paperwork including pallet tags, production reports, weight checks, and quality documents
10.



Report all food safety problems and/or quality problems to Supervisor to initiate actions
11. Biweekly cleaning of operating equipment and facility

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

1. Assist in Bird Plant when required stacking bags and operating equipment
2. Actively participate in areas of continuous improvement and offer solutions to problems as required
3. Ensure that all equipment is operating properly and any unsafe equipment or conditions are reported to the Workplace Health & Safety Committee or relevant authority
4. Be willing and able to work and be trained in other positions elsewhere in the operation whenever required

CONDITIONS:

1. 40 hours per week, may be requested to work overtime
2. Position is physically demanding.
3. May require work outside in inclement weather

5. Plant contains peanuts, wheat, animal by-products and other allergens
6. Lifting 20 - 50lbs, fast paced, attention to detail, computer literate
