Company OverviewOTI Food Products Ltd. is a newly established flour milling company based in Acme, Alberta, operating two production facilities with a combined daily capacity of approximately 300 tonnes. The company is expanding into pasta and oil production, and is building an internationally minded team to support its growth across domestic and export markets, including Africa and the Middle East.

Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily production activities at our flour milling facility, with hands-on responsibility for production floor operations, quality/laboratory checks, and raw-material and finished-goods flow. The ideal candidate holds a formal business education, but has learned flour production, milling and quality control hands-on through years of direct, floor-level industry experience rather than a food-engineering background. The candidate also brings strong procurement, customs/import-export, logistics and customer relations capability to support the company's domestic and international growth.

The successful candidate will work closely with production, laboratory, quality assurance, warehouse, purchasing and sales departments.

Job Duties• Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of employees involved in flour production, processing, testing, packaging and quality control.

- Oversee flour production processes, including raw-material preparation, milling, blending, packaging and storage.
- Be present on the production floor during key production stages to monitor process parameters and product quality in real time.
- Oversee laboratory testing and quality control checks on raw materials,

in-process samples and finished products (e.g. moisture, protein, ash, gluten and flour quality parameters) to ensure specifications are met.
- Establish work methods and production schedules to meet daily production targets.
- Coordinate production-related activities with quality assurance, sanitation, maintenance, warehouse and purchasing departments.
- Coordinate and schedule raw material procurement, import/export documentation, and customs clearance for milling operations.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders and logistics providers to ensure timely, compliant movement of raw materials and finished products domestically and internationally.
- Develop and maintain relationships with international and domestic customers, including client visits, correspondence and market research.
- Monitor market conditions, pricing trends and customer needs, particularly in Africa, the Middle East and other export markets.
- Identify and resolve production and supply chain problems, recommending measures to improve productivity, product quality and operational efficiency.
- Requisition materials and supplies required for production and coordinate inventory levels with the warehouse team.
- Train employees in job duties, equipment operation, workplace safety, sanitation, hygiene and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP principles, Good Manufacturing Practices, allergen-control procedures, sanitation requirements and traceability procedures.

- Conduct routine production and workplace inspections.
- Participate in the preparation of production, quality, inventory, shipping and customer reports.
- Support investigations related to product-quality issues, shipping discrepancies, customs issues, or customer complaints, and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure production equipment and work areas are operated safely and maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.

Employment Requirements• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required; candidates without a degree but with extensive hands-on experience in food production supervision will also be considered.
- A minimum of 10 years of hands-on industry experience in food production, international trade, customs, logistics and/or sales is required, gained through direct industry experience rather than formal technical training alone.
- Practical, floor-level experience in flour milling, pasta, bakery, grain-based or similar food manufacturing, including production supervision and laboratory/quality control, is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, HACCP principles and Positive Manufacturing Practices is required.
- Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, customs documentation and international logistics is required.
- Knowledge of production planning, quality control and inventory management is required.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to supervise employees and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to prepare and maintain accurate production, logistics and customer records and reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; additional languages considered an asset.
