AMCL is looking for Full time Night Shift Suet Plant Production Team Members ( light manufacturing). Suet Packer Position wages start at $19.20 plus a $1.50 per hour shift premiums and opportunities for OT. This is an 6- month contract position.

Must have: Reliable Transportation, GED/Highschool Diploma, Past Work References

With our site running out of Hagersville Ontario we have been able to provide the Canadian wild bird seed market with our own branded products as well as premium custom-blended packaged caged animal and bird seed products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

1. Packing of suet cakes – A Line or B Line to meet weekly schedule requirements
2. Accurately Set up and Ensure smooth operation of sealing, labelling and box coder equipment for specific products as instructed
3. Filling and palletizing of boxes
4. Regularly weigh cakes and take samples for Quality Control purposes
5. Follow Operator’s daily production instructions
6. Report all food safety problems and/or quality problems to Supervisor
7. Biweekly cleaning of equipment and facility

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

1. Assist elsewhere within the plant when required; stacking bags and operating equipment
2.



Actively participate in areas of continuous improvement and offer solutions to problems as required
3. Ensure that all equipment is operating and any unsafe equipment or conditions are reported to the Workplace Health & Safety Committee or relevant authority
4. Be willing and able to work and be trained in other positions elsewhere in the operation whenever required
5. Secure operation of forklift – training will be provided if necessary

CONDITIONS:

1. Temp Contract: 40 hours per week, straight night shift, may be requested to work overtime

2. Position is physically demanding
3. May require work outside in inclement weather

4. Requires working in teams
5. Plant contains peanuts, wheat, animal by-products and other allergens
6. Lifting 20lbs, fast paced, attention to detail, computer literate
