As a Musician in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), you will combine your passion for music with a commitment to service, leadership, and excellence. CAF Musicians perform at military ceremonies, public events, community engagements, state functions, and official occasions that showcase Canadian pride, military heritage, and professionalism.

Whether performing with a military band, supporting ceremonial duties, or representing the CAF at national and international events, your musical talents will contribute directly to the mission of the Canadian Armed Forces while making a lasting impact on audiences across Canada and abroad.

Responsibilities

- Perform as a member of a military band at concerts, parades, ceremonies, official government functions, and public events.
- Represent the Canadian Armed Forces at community outreach activities, recruiting events, and national commemorations.
- Maintain a high standard of musical proficiency through regular rehearsals, performances, and individual practice.
- Support military ceremonies, state occasions, remembrance events, and other significant functions across Canada and internationally.
- Demonstrate leadership, discipline, teamwork, and professionalism in a military environment.
- Adapt performances to suit diverse audiences, venues, and ceremonial requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow musicians, conductors, and military personnel.
- Uphold CAF standards of conduct, military bearing, and operational readiness.




- Participate in military training and contribute to the broader mission and values of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Experience
- Demonstrated proficiency on a band instrument and the ability to perform at a professional level.
- Experience performing in concert bands, orchestras, jazz ensembles, ceremonial bands, marching bands, or other professional musical settings.
- Strong ability to work within a team while maintaining individual performance excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership potential and a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
- Ability to perform confidently under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
- Formal music education, military band experience, or equivalent professional experience is considered an asset.
- A willingness to embrace military service, discipline, and professional development.

Pay: $18.25-$71.22 per hour
