Ottawa Community Loan Fund (OCLF)

Ottawa

ABOUT OCLF: OCLF is an Ottawa-based registered charity, a non-profit advancing financial inclusion through practical, community-based financial literacy education. In partnership with local organizations, we bring accessible learning into the settings where people already connect with services. By helping people make informed financial decisions and build greater financial security, our work contributes to stronger, more economically resilient communities across Ottawa.

ABOUT THE ROLE: This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys coordinating complex activities, facilitating learning and working with community partners. Working closely with the Director of Programs, the Program Coordinator (GBV) handles the practical day-to-day work required to turn the approved project plan into coordinated activities, useful resources and consistent delivery.

This initiative builds on OCLF’s financial literacy experience to respond to the financial harm caused by gender-based violence. It brings together practical education, one-on-one systems navigation, and community collaboration to strengthen the way organizations and financial institutions recognize and address economic abuse.

Salary range: 50,000 to 56,000 per year.

Start Date: To be discussed

What you will do

- Coordinate project timelines, meetings, materials, communications and follow-up. Monitor progress, provide timely updates and carry out approved changes.
- Contribute to the development, testing and refinement of program resources.
- Organize and participate in community roundtables, gather and interpret feedback, and present transparent findings.
- Conduct outreach to settlement organizations, gender-based violence shelters,

health centres and other delivery partners, including organizations serving racialized women, newcomers and francophones, to strengthen referral pathways and access to the program. Maintain clear communication and follow-up with participating organizations.
- Contribute to training for frontline workers and financial institution teams by preparing materials and participating in delivery.
- Schedule workshop facilitators and manage one-on-one appointments with navigators.
- Deliver financial literacy education workshops when additional capacity is required

What you bring

- Bilingual (English/French) - verbal and written
- A relevant combination of post-secondary education and experience that provides the knowledge and skills required for the role.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in program coordination, administration, and/or facilitation. Experience gained outside of Canada is welcome and valued.
- Experience developing or adapting workshops, training materials, tools or other practical resources.
- Experience facilitating workshops, training, consultations or community discussions for participants with varied backgrounds and levels of knowledge.
- Experience collaborating with community organizations, support providers or other project stakeholders.
- Experience applying equity, diversity,

inclusion and accessibility principles to program development, facilitation, communications or community engagement.
- Training in financial literacy facilitation, benefits access or debt and credit advocacy is an asset.
- A high degree of personal accountability. You have a proven track record of taking full ownership of tasks, solving problems, and getting things across the finish line
- Exceptional organizational skills. You can work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines without close supervision
- Strong critical thinking. You can identify client challenges or process gaps and proactively propose solutions
