This employment opportunity is restricted to residents of Iqaluit only.

Reporting to the Senior Project Coordinator; the Project Coordinator supports the Department to promptly and efficiently respond to the needs of its staff and Programs by developing the non-IT materials and resources (e.g., curriculum resources, program materials, and other materials) required as part of effective delivery of departmental services/supports across Nunavut. In so doing, the Project Coordinator ensures Nunavut’s students (K-12, early learning, French education, and adult), educators, and departmental staff are positioned for success through the development of culturally relevant and appropriate materials which clearly, concisely, and accurately convey their intended message.

Department of Education The Department of Education (EDU) in the Government of Nunavut oversees early learning and K-12 schooling and supports adult education across the territory. It provides leadership, funding, curriculum development, and policy guidance to support student success in all communities. The department supports and administers 45 schools serving students from kindergarten through Grade 12 throughout Nunavut’s communities, helping ensure access to quality education grounded in Inuit culture and languages.

The department also licences and supports early learning and child care centres across the territory with funding, training and resource provision, and administers financial and other supports for Nunavut’s post-secondary studentsMinister of Education to create a healthy, strong, and flourishing Nunavut.
