Project Manager Assistant – Painting & Construction

About Us

NT Painting & Decoration Inc. is a Winnipeg-based construction company specializing in residential and commercial painting, drywall finishing, and restoration work.

We are looking for a Project Manager Assistant to support active job sites, inspect work quality, report deficiencies, and help ensure projects are completed professionally and according to company standards.

This is a field-based role. The successful candidate will travel to multiple job sites throughout the day.

Responsibilities

Duties may include

- Visiting multiple active job sites daily
- Inspecting painting and construction work for quality, completion, and professionalism
- Identifying deficiencies, missed work, or quality concerns
- Ensuring job sites are clean, organized, safe, and presentable
- Confirming that job scope and expectations are understood on site
- Communicating with workers, office staff, clients, and project managers
- Taking notes/photos and submitting daily updates through ClickUp
- Helping address issues early to support customer satisfaction
- Following company procedures, quality standards, and safety expectations

Requirements

Applicants must have

- Strong painting and general construction knowledge
- Minimum 3 years of professional painting experience in Canada




- Experience with residential and/or commercial painting or construction projects
- Ability to assess workmanship and identify quality issues
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Robust organization and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple site visits in one day
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfort using ClickUp or similar reporting/project management tools
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Valid authorization to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications Experience in any of the following would be considered an asset:

- Quality control or site inspections
- Site supervision or crew supervision
- Project coordination
- Drywall finishing or restoration work
- Handling client concerns
- Communicating between crews and office staff
