The function of the Project Manager is to provide direct support to the Division Manager and/or the sales representatives within the mechanical division. A Project Manager can be assigned directly to an outside sales representative or work as part of a team of project managers to support the division’s needs to service our customers.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

The following are principal duties of the Project Manager.

- Service our customers in an accurate and timely manner.
- Support the outside salespeople when they are in or out of the office.
- Proactively self-educate through reading and asking questions.




- Attend supplier supported training when required. This could be in house or at the suppliers' facilities. There may be limited travel involved.
- Manage the Winnipeg Construction Association (WCA) projects. This entails monitoring projects, printing off potential tenders and entering the project information into Rep Edge sales program (this is an internal E.H. Price quoting & sales management program).
- Ensure that all take-offs are done. This needs to be managed between yourself and the other project managers.
- Pricing of take-offs assigned to project manager. This would include all bid & spec projects, design build projects and small projects that our customers send us each day.
- Preparation of final quotes for all tenders.
- Review final quotes with the Division Manager and/or assigned Sales team before the sales representatives send quote to customers.
- Submittal drawing package preparation for all projects they are assigned by the Division Manager and/or their assigned sales team.
- Project management of all projects they are assigned by the Division Manager and/or their assigned sales team.
- Responsible for issuing purchase orders to manufacturers and releasing equipment for production.
- From time to time the project managers will need to visit jobsites if a problem arises on a project.
- Answer incoming calls from customers.
- Respond to incoming emails from customers.




- Assist on an as-needed basis walk-in and cash customers.
- Attend all divisional and office meetings
- Assist in all customer events as required by the outside salespeople and managers. This could be open houses, Sporting events, lunches, etc.
- Perform other duties assigned by your manager or the sales team you are working with.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

- Project Managers report to the division manager and/or the outside sales representatives that make up the mechanical division.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- At least one year of sales or consulting experience but 3 or more years would be preferred.
- An EIT, P.Eng., C.E.T. or M.E.T. is a must.

- Understanding of how to read & interpret construction drawings.
- Past experience with HVAC mechanical equipment would definitely be an asset.
