We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with sign industry experience to manage signage projects from initial handoff through production, installation, and completion.

The ideal candidate understands sign fabrication, estimating, permitting, production, installation, and project scheduling and can confidently coordinate multiple projects at the same time.

Position Summary The Project Manager will oversee signage projects from contract award through installation and closeout, coordinating with clients, internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and municipalities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage signage projects from contract award through production, installation, and final project closeout.
- Review project specifications, drawings, site conditions, measurements, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with sales, estimating, design, production, installation, and permitting teams.
- Prepare and review project budgets, estimates, purchase requirements, and change orders.
- Monitor project costs and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.




- Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
- Coordinate materials, suppliers, subcontractors, equipment, and installation requirements.
- Manage municipal permitting requirements and communicate with regulatory authorities when required.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding project progress, schedules, approvals, and deliverables.
- Conduct site visits as required to verify measurements, installation conditions, and project requirements.
- Identify and resolve project challenges, delays, scope changes, and potential cost issues.
- Review drawings and project documentation for accuracy before production.
- Coordinate installation crews and ensure sites are properly prepared for installation.
- Ensure completed projects meet Galaxie Signs' quality and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate project records, documentation, approvals, and correspondence.
- Support a smooth handoff between departments throughout each stage of the project.

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 3 years of project management or project coordination experience, preferably within the sign industry.
- Strong knowledge of signage manufacturing, fabrication, installation, and permitting processes.
- Experience with illuminated signs, channel letters, pylon signs, wayfinding systems, and/or digital signage is an asset.
- Experience preparing or reviewing estimates, budgets, and project costs.




- Ability to read architectural drawings, construction plans, site plans, and shop drawings.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple active projects and competing deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional and confident when communicating with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make practical decisions when project challenges arise.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Valid BC driver's licence and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience working directly for a sign manufacturing company.
- Knowledge of municipal sign bylaws and permitting processes throughout British Columbia.
- Experience coordinating installation crews, service technicians, and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments and production scheduling.
- Understanding of structural, electrical, and installation requirements related to signage.
- Experience managing both small and large commercial signage projects.
