Starting September 1, 2026, the Greater Victoria School District invites applications for a Continuing Vision Teacher. Your primary responsibilities involve developing and implementing IEPs, providing insights on visual impairments to educators, and ensuring students receive necessary adaptations in their learning. This role requires a valid BC Driver’s License as you'll be supporting various schools.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach and support K-12 visually impaired students • Develop and track IEP documentation and progress • Offer training on low vision aids and braille instructions • Consult with educators on inclusive classroom practices • Collaborate with specialists across disciplines
Requirements: • Must have a valid BC Driver’s License • Experience with visual impairments in education • Strong knowledge of IEP development • Collaboration skills with educational staff • Capability to provide braille instruction if necessary
