Purchaser
As our Purchaser, you will help keep production moving by sourcing materials, processing purchase orders, maintaining accurate purchasing information, and building strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams. This role is a great fit for someone who is detail-oriented, responsive, and motivated to find practical solutions that support quality, cost-effectiveness, and operational success.

- Process purchase order requisitions and requests, including creating and releasing purchase orders.
- Follow up on purchase order lines to keep order status, delivery timelines, and purchased item information current.
- Research and negotiate cost-effective sources for material requirements.
- Maintain accurate database information related to items, costs, vendors, and purchased materials.
- Respond to order status requests, confirmations, and order amendments in a timely and professional manner.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, team members, and internal leaders.
- Support continuous improvement by helping streamline work processes, reduce turnaround times, and improve operational quality.
- Demonstrate accountability under Vidir’s Risk Management System and Continuous Improvement Programs by leading by example.
Qualifications The successful candidate will bring a strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and a customer-focused approach to supporting purchasing and supply chain needs.
- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- 1–2 years of purchasing experience required; experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Completion of, or enrollment in, Supply Chain Management Association training would be considered an asset.
- Experience working with ERP systems or supply management software.
- Strong communication, negotiation, computer, and organizational skills.
- A high level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
- Able to manage changing priorities, frequent interruptions,
and time-sensitive requests while staying organized and calm.
- Collaborative and approachable, with the ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership, follows through on commitments, and looks for ways to improve processes.
