THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for a for a Purchaser / Production Coordinator to join our Purchasing team. This position is ideal for an individual with a strong background in purchasing and excellent organizational skills. The successful candidate will also collaborate with internal departments and reports directly to Director of Operations or their designee(s).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, or business services on company’s demand
- Entering,
receiving & updating the purchase orders in purchasing software
- Have excellent organization, customer service and communication skills and attention to detail
- Have a working knowledge of shipping, transportation, and customs regulations
- Establish delivery schedules, monitor progress, and contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems
- Liaising with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time.
- Inspecting purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues timely.
- Monitor stock levels and verify purchase requisitions
- Perform daily, weekly & monthly cycle counts as per the requirements
- Writing reports on purchases made and performing cost analyses.
- Maintain professional relationships with all the key suppliers, manufacturing, project management, and accounting teams.
- Generate and upload work order labels.
- Review and generate production packages from production releases issued by drafting.
- Identify items that need to be outsourced from these production releases and coordinate with outside vendors.
- Generate extrusion pull lists from releases to be issued to the warehouse.
- Follow and adhere to the production schedule to ensure the extrusion pull lists, production packages, work orders and shipping lists are completed in order and on time as per the schedule.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Other tasks as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Post Secondary Education related to purchasing is required.
- Experience in purchasing would-be asset.
- Ability to work in a deadline driven setting.
- Result orientated Delegation, Problem Solving, Planning, and Process Management.
- Ability to maintain speed and accuracy against established targets.
- Computer literacy, working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills a must.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Health and Safety knowledge and experience preferred.
- Must be flexible in hours to overlap shifts or be available for alternate shift.
Salary Range Final compensation to be determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, individual qualifications, experience, expertise, skill set, industry knowledge, etc.
