We are currently seeking competent individuals to fulfill the role of QA Analyst to join our dynamic team for our client, one of the major banks.

Location Address: Hybrid - 3 days in office

Contract Duration: 6 months

Possibility of extension

Key Responsibilities

- Perform end-to-end, functional, integration, regression, and system testing for web-based applications.
- Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios and test cases .
- Execute manual testing and document test results.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and Swagger.
- Validate REST API requests and responses, including JSON/XML payloads, status codes, and data accuracy .
- Perform backend and database validation using SQL queries .
- Validate data flow and data mapping across APIs, databases, and user interfaces.
- Identify, document, track, and retest defects through resolution.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues.
- Maintain test plans, test cases, defect reports, and other QA documentation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and defect triage.
- Support UAT and production release activities as required.

Required Qualifications
- Proven professional experience as a QA Analyst,



Quality Assurance Analyst, or Software Tester .
- Strong hands-on experience with manual and end-to-end testing .
- Experience testing web-based applications and integrated systems.
- Hands-on experience with REST API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools .
- Experience working with JSON and XML .
- Strong SQL skills for backend and data validation.
- Experience with functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
- Experience with defect tracking/test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or TestRail .
- Robust understanding of SDLC and STLC .
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills

- Ability to manage assigned tasks and expectations without direct instruction or oversight
- Fast, adaptable learner who can hit the ground running
- Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating strong professionalism
- Must be able to collaborate closely with a team at times, while also being capable of holding themselves accountable to meet individual deadlines without hand holding

Education:

- Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field

Nice to have skills: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Previous experience within banking or financial services is highly preferred.

Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium is an asset.

Experience with API integrations and complex data flows is an advantage.
