Tria Products Ltd. is hiring a QC / Shipper & Receiver for our Blacksmith (Welding and Manufacturing Department) in Arborg, Manitoba. This is a full-time, year-round position combining quality control on welded and fabricated steel with shipping and receiving duties.

Starting wage: $22.00/hour, with increases based on experience.

What you'll be doing

Quality Control — Welding & Fabrication

- Visual inspection of welds against shop drawings.
- Checking fit-up, joint preparation, and material cleanliness before welding starts
- Verifying weld size, length, placement, and profile after welding
- Identifying weld defects — undercut, porosity, spatter, incomplete fusion, cracking — and flagging rework
- Checking dimensions, squareness, and hole placement on fabricated assemblies against drawings
- Confirming correct material grades, sizes, and heat numbers; maintaining material traceability
- Verifying welders are working within their qualified procedures
- Completing inspection reports, QC documentation, and non-conformance records

Shipping & Receiving

- Preparing fabricated steel for shipment — verifying counts against load lists and packing slips
- Receiving incoming steel,



consumables, and hardware; checking against purchase orders and reporting shortages or damage
- Maintaining inventory of steel stock, welding wire, gas, and shop consumables
- Coordinating with the shop foreman and the office on shipping schedules

What we're looking for

- Ability to read shop drawings and interpret weld symbols
- Accurate measuring and a genuine eye for detail
- Comfortable with paperwork, records, and basic computer work
- Valid driver's licence and own transportation to Arborg
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
