ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assistant to join our Quality Team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about health sciences, committed to excellence and eager to contribute to the production of safe, effective and high-quality health products. This is a 12-month full-time contract position.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Review manufacturing and packaging batch records for accuracy and GMP compliance.
- Collect and analyze samples of raw materials, in-process, bulk, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Support product release decisions and maintain documentation for quality assurance.
- Ensure production areas are cleared and signed off both before and after production/manufacturing activities.
- Prepare and submit samples for internal and third-party laboratory testing; manage and review lab data.
- Coordinate with Warehousing and Distribution teams on product storage, release timeline, and disposition.
- Participate in investigations related to customer complaints and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct routine inspections of production areas and critical systems (e.g., cleaning, air filtration) and document findings, per SOPs.
- Assist in executing the stability program and maintaining related reports and protocols.
- Assist and support critical manufacturing activities, as requested.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- College diploma in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical technologies, Food Chemistry, or relevant field.
- Hands-on laboratory experience (e.g., HPLC, formulating) and familiarity with standard analytical techniques.
- Experience in the Natural and Non-Prescription Health Product, Food, Pharmaceutical industry is an asset.
- Robust understanding of GMP and ability to follow SOPs with precision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and great time management.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines under pressure.
- Professional, adaptable and committed to completing tasks with discretion and sound judgment.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.

- Compensation range: $50,000 - $53,000
