About the Role
Position: Quality Assurance Specialist
Location: West-End Halifax HQ & Dalhousie Laboratory
Experience: 1-3 Years of Experience or Background in Quality Assurance, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field required. Experience in food, beverage, or nutraceutical manufacturing environments is considered an asset.
What You’ll Do
As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Infusd, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the quality systems that support both our internal R&D; and external manufacturing partners. You will act as a key liaison between Infusd, co-manufacturers, and customers to ensure all products meet required specifications, regulatory standards, and quality expectations.
You will
- Act as the primary liaison between Infusd and co-manufacturers for all quality documentation, including COAs, specification sheets, and SDS
- Oversee required testing for production runs, coordinating with clients and co-manufacturers to ensure all release specifications are clearly defined and met
- Manage raw material qualification processes, including reviewing COAs, approving new supplier samples, and implementing ongoing verification systems for current lots and suppliers
- Maintain and organize up-to-date COAs for all raw materials and finished products
- Manage stability programs, including scheduling, inventory tracking, and notifying internal teams of required testing timelines
- Develop and implement internal quality SOPs
- Lead and support external audits, including co-manufacturer facility audits and reporting
- Oversee vendor qualification processes for raw material suppliers
- Complete qualification forms and support audit requests from partners and co-manufacturers
- Assist with allergen documentation and other customer-facing quality and regulatory requests
This role offers the opportunity to build and scale quality systems within a rapidly growing company, working at the intersection of R&D;, manufacturing, and commercial production. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring product integrity and supporting Infusd’s expansion into global markets.
