The Quality & Compliance Coordinator ensures that Yusen Logistics Canada’s Operations comply with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations focusing on protecting employees, minimizing operational risks, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting sustainability objectives. Additionally, this role will support maintenance and improvement of Yusen Logistics Canada’s Quality Management System.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quality, & Regulatory Compliance Oversight:

- Conduct inspections/audits, and risk assessments across bonded warehouse and freight forwarding environments to support the Quality Management System (ISO9001 and GDP).
- Support IFF/ GDP Incident investigation, with RCA and CAPA, establishing effective permanent counter measures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to international freight forwarding regulations, including:
- IATA (air freight)
- IMDG (ocean freight)
- Dangerous Goods handling requirements
- Support internal and external audits, including regulator and customer audits.




- Track and report and monitor KPIs related to service quality and compliance.
- Maintain licenses, certifications, and compliance records for IFF operations.
- Assist in closing gaps related to governance and compliance standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, process optimization).
- Support in Incident Management System, solving and conducting thorough reports and investigations to find root causes of problems and helps with the system improvement and follow up actions.

GDP Compliance:

- Support continued implementation and maintenance of Good Distribution Practice standards across Freight Forwarding Operations.
- Evaluate IFF processes to ensure proper handling, storage, transportation, and documentation of temperature-sensitive and pharmaceutical products for pharmaceutical customers.
- Monitor compliance with temperature control requirements, traceability and serialization standards, deviation and CAPA processes
- Lead GDP audits, validation activities, and qualification of logistics partners and lanes.
- Assists in maintaining Operating procedures, work instructions and training materials aligned with IFF YL Standard requirements and GDP requirements.
- Provide training for new employees and refresher training as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Diploma or degree in ISO9001:2025 Quality Management System, or related field.
- Logistics, Supply Chain Management experience considered an asset.
- 3–5 years’ experience in Quality Systems.
- Experience handling pharmaceutical or healthcare logistics strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements.




- Strong understanding of: QMS Problem Solving, Corrective and Preventive actions, excellent organizational skills and audit processes.
- Certifications considered assets: GDP training/certification, CQE, CQA, ISO9001 Auditor Training/certification
- Strong communication and training skills.
- Strong organization and record keeping skills.
- Analytical and detail-oriented; ability to investigate and solve compliance issues.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
