As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for performing standardized quality control checks on final goods produced within the Production Plant to ensure they meet the required legal and company standards for safety and quality. You may also be required to maintain calibrated test equipment, prepare test data, and identify areas for quality control improvement and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Laboratory measurements of brix, volume, weights, pH and other quality specifications.
- Recording of laboratory test results and other test or inspection results.
- Filing of laboratory and inspection data.
- Monitoring and adjustments of date coding instruments.
- Calibration of laboratory instruments such as pH meter and refractometer
- HACCP monitoring of production processes including juice pasteurizers. Involves monitoring CCPs and taking appropriate corrective actions when necessary.
- Quality control monitoring of product and production systems to ensure finished product meets Kisko’s quality specifications.
- Microbiology sampling such as swabbing and air plate testing. Sampling finished products for microbiology testing. Microbiology testing of environment.
- Use of computer systems to generate tracking numbers for products.
- Inspection of equipment and production setting for conformance to food safety standards.
- Analyze data and generate reports under the direction of the QA/QC Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Food Technology or Food Science or Microbiology.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment will be preferred.
- Excellent Organizing, Customer Service and Communication Skills.
- Attention to detail and a good team player.
Pay: $23.00 per hour
