Incoming Quality Inspector – 6-Month Contract

Position Overview
DART Aerospace is seeking an Incoming Quality Inspector to support our manufacturing operations on a temporary 6-month contract.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming materials and outsourced products to ensure they meet applicable drawings, purchase orders, documentation, and quality requirements before being released to production.
What You’ll Do
- Receive and inspect incoming materials and products.
- Ensure all required paperwork and documentation are provided with incoming shipments.
- Inspect products using rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
- Verify that outsourced products comply with applicable engineering drawings, specifications, and identification requirements.
- Sort through incoming packages and inspect products for damage or visible defects.
- Verify Purchase Orders (POs), certificates, and supporting documentation for conformity.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damaged products, missing documentation, or non-conforming material.
- Perform inspections accurately and independently in accordance with established procedures.
- Follow DART Aerospace’s Quality Management System (QMS)
requirements and applicable quality procedures.
- Maintain accurate and organized inspection records.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Technical school training or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Ability to follow drawings, specifications, inspection requirements, and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned inspections efficiently.
- Ability to work in compliance with a structured Quality Management System.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in incoming inspection, quality inspection, manufacturing, or receiving inspection.
- Experience working in aerospace, automotive, defense, or another regulated manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with purchase orders, certificates, engineering drawings, and product traceability documentation.
