This is a work-study position

Position Summary The Student Lab Assistant would be responsible for basic lab maintenance duties including:

Department Name

Biomedical Sciences

Anticipated Start Date

Anticipated weekly hours

Required Job Qualifications

Candidates should be freshman or sophomore year students that have an interest in continuing this job in future semester.

Candidates should be majoring in a field related to Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Genetics or Neuroscience.

Preferred Job Qualifications

Candidate should be extremely responsible, reliable, dependable,



and able to work independently with proper training.

Essential Duties

Making chemical solutions

Stocking supplies

Cooking media for fly culture

Cleaning glassware

Sterilizing supplies

Maintaining fly cultures

This is a work-study position; applicants must be eligible for work-study to apply. Please include your work-study award for 2026/27 with your application materials.

Hourly pay rate: $15.16/hour
