As an integral member of the Mining Operations team, the Raisebore Driller is responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of raiseboring equipment. The incumbent performs pilot hole drilling and reaming operations in accordance with plans, specifications, and work procedures while ensuring that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with established requirements.

Main tasks

- Always comply with all health and safety standards and requirements;

- Inspect the work area at the beginning and end of each shift;

- Use and complete all required logs, work cards, and reports;

- Perform pre-operational inspections and first-level maintenance on raiseboring equipment;

- Read and interpret drilling plans, specifications, and work instructions;

- Participate in the installation, assembly,



and dismantling of raisebore equipment;

- Position and operate the raisebore drill in accordance with established procedures;

- Perform pilot hole drilling and reaming operations according to prescribed parameters;

- Handle drill rods, drilling tools, and components required to carry out the work;

- Inspect equipment condition and report any mechanical or operational issues;

- Maintain the work area and ensure a safe working environment;

- Complete daily production and operational reports;

- Perform any other related duties as required.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent education;

- Relevant experience in mining drilling operations;

- Underground hard rock common core in Ontario;

- Ability to read and interpret drilling plans and specifications;

- Hold a valid explosive license;

- Valid driver's licence.
