Location: Southwood Care Centre

Positions Available: Casual position with open availability required

Salary: Salary ranges from $18.80 to $24.32 per hour

Role Responsibilities:

- Assist in scheduling, preparing and implementing therapeutic programs which support Intercare’s philosophy of meeting the holistic needs of customers as directed
- Maintain appropriate records of planned programs and attendance




- Documents care, programs and interactions as required on the resident’s health care record
- Participate in outings and other special events
- Demonstrate respect to all customers by working with them in a calm, courteous manner

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

- A Recreation Therapy Aide Diploma is preferred; a Recreation Therapy Aide certificate and/or a minimum of two years as recreation therapy assistant or related field experience in a continuing care setting will be considered
- Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language
- Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined
- Preference will be given to those candidates who have a therapy aide certificate from a recognized program
- Driver's License Class 4 is an asset
