Star Staffing Group is seeking a Recruiter for a remote independent contractor position based in the Greater Toronto Area. The role requires approximately 20 hours per week to manage candidate sourcing, screening, and candidate pipelines. Compensation is commission-based, paying 30% to 35% on eligible placements.

The Role

Star Staffing Group is seeking a Recruiter to support candidate sourcing, screening, client requirements, and successful placements. The Recruiter manages assigned job opportunities and candidate pipelines while delivering a professional experience for both candidates and clients. Core duties include candidate outreach, interviewing, ATS/CRM management, and coordinating client interviews.

What You'll Do What You'll Do

- Source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, databases, and direct outreach.
- Review resumes and screen candidates against job requirements.
- Conduct phone or video screening interviews.
- Maintain accurate candidate profiles and recruitment activity in the company ATS/CRM.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines for active and future opportunities.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and clients.
- Follow up with candidates and clients throughout the hiring process.
- Prepare and submit qualified candidates for open positions.
- Support job postings and recruitment campaigns.
- Maintain confidentiality of candidate and client information.
- Follow Star Staffing Group recruitment processes and approval requirements.
- Assist with business development and identify new client opportunities where appropriate.

What You Bring

- Recruitment experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous recruitment, staffing,



talent acquisition, sales, or related experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort speaking with candidates and clients.
- Strong organisation and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Comfort using recruitment software, LinkedIn, email, and other digital tools.

Compensation & Employment Details

- Employment Type: Permanent (Commission-based independent contractor)
- Work Arrangement: Remote (Greater Toronto Area) - Schedule: 20 hours per week
- Compensation: 30% to 35% commission on eligible placements in accordance with the Star Staffing Group commission structure and Independent Contractor Agreement About the Opportunity The Recruiter is expected to contribute approximately 20 hours per week, manage assigned recruitment activity consistently, maintain accurate records, communicate professionally, and actively work toward successful candidate placements.
- This role is governed by the applicable Independent Contractor Agreement, NDA, and Star Staffing Group policies.
