OVERVIEW:
The Recruitment Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the full-cycle recruitment process by delivering efficient, organized, and candidate-focused administrative support. This position is responsible for coordinating interviews, managing candidate communications, maintaining recruitment systems and records, posting job opportunities, and facilitating pre-employment processes.
The Recruitment
Coordinator works closely with hiring managers, candidates, and Human Resources team members to ensure a seamless recruitment experience while supporting the organization's talent acquisition goals. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a quick-paced environment.
REPONSIBILITIES:
- Determine best sourcing strategies and resources to drive applicant traffic. Develop current, creative recruiting ideas to successfully find talent and place qualified job applicants into existing openings.
- Partner with property leadership to ensure understanding of positions, recruitment needs, and objectives and properly address challenges.
- Ensure relationships with community partners and local schools and other recruiting sources are effective and properly cultivated.
- Remain current with latest recruiting tools, such as social media and candidate retention management capabilities.
- Stay abreast of property initiatives in order to anticipate and plan recruitment needs and timelines.
- Conduct regular follow-up with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting efforts and proceed accordingly.
- Screen and interview candidates and perform reference checks as necessary.
- Act to ensure requisitions are filled in an expeditious manner with top tier,
guest service driven candidates.
- Ensure all processes are streamlined, allowing for the shortest amount of time from the requisition approval to orientation date.
- Serve as super user of companywide Applicant Tracking System; assessment system; and any other recruitment strategy tools assigned.
- Serve as a mentor to staff and share expertise in order to problem solve and provide leadership with difficult recruiting challenges.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of Company benefits programs in order to properly leverage such and attract high-caliber candidates.
- Organize and plan hiring events and job shadowing programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPIERENCE, EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel required; PowerPoint and Publisher preferred.

- At least 1-2 years of previous experience in Recruitment or Human Resources required.
- Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System, preferably Workday.
- Experience working with a HRIS System, preferably Infinium and Workday.
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field is preferred
- Must be able to obtain a Cat 2 license with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
- Previous hospitality, hotel or casino experience highly preferred, particularly in recruitment or human resources.
- Ability to travel (10-15%) and work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
- Fluency in English: additional languages (French) preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds or more.
- The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment, but there will be times when you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
