Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and restorative treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials to ensure efficiency and safety
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
- Manage patient records using Cleardent dental practice management software
- Provide exceptional customer service as a dental receptionist, greeting patients and scheduling appointments
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral health best practices
- Maintain sterilization standards and ensure all dental equipment is properly sanitized and organized
Skills
- Proven experience with dental assisting procedures and patient care techniques
- Solid communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and the front desk staff
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy dental environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of dental office procedures, including sterilization protocols and radiography safety standards
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team while providing outstanding patient service
Language
- English (required), Chinese speaking would be an asset
Licence/Certification
- Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant Level II (required)
