Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and personalized care plans.
- Assist in patient examinations by recording medical histories and vital signs.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix.
- Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming environment and providing age-appropriate care.
- Assist with orthodontic procedures when necessary,



including appliance adjustments and patient instructions.
- Communicate effectively with bilingual patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
- Uphold infection control protocols in compliance with OSHA standards to ensure a safe environment for all.

Skills

- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist with knowledge of dental office procedures and patient care standards.
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
- Solid understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry and oral health.
- Experience working with orthodontic treatments or pediatric dentistry is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse patient populations.
- Bilingual abilities to serve both English-speaking and non-English-speaking patients effectively.
- Knowledge of dental assisting techniques that support clinical efficiency.
