Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental team at McKenzie Dental in SE Calgary, Alberta. The ideal candidate is passionate about preventive oral healthcare, committed to providing exceptional patient experiences, and enjoys working collaboratively in a modern dental practice. Experience with Dentrix would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Manage patient records accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix.
- Communicate effectively with patients,



addressing questions about treatments and post-care instructions.

Skills

- Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental office management software.
- Strong customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for all patients.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care and patient education.
- Previous experience working in a busy dental office setting is preferred.
