Location: Satellites of West Ferris Day Nursery

Hours of Operation: Shift Between 7:00 am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday for 7.5 hours, potential for split shift

Wage: Competitive wage, plus WEG & Vacation Pay

Qualifications, Background:

- College diploma in Early Childhood Education, from a recognized post-secondary institution
- College of ECE current registration, in positive standing
- Current VSC, no older than 6 months
- Current Standard First Aid and Infant/Child CPR - WSIB approved
- Current Immunization record
- Driver’s License and Reliable Vehicle is required
- Minimum TWO years direct work experience with children and early learning
- Experience with How Does Learning Happen (HDLH) curriculum
- Experience with the DNSSAB QA program and how it supports HDLH
- Experience and knowledge of working with community agencies
- Working knowledge of CCEY act

Duties (but not limited to):

- Demonstrate strict confidentiality

- Demonstrate regular attendance
- Implement HDLH and support planning
- Implement Ministry guidelines under the CCEY act




- Implement LookSee/ASQ’s and awareness of developmental needs of all children within the group
- Maintain profiles and protocols for children in group
- Demonstrate flexibility, dependability and ability to work as a team member
- Demonstrate ability to work independently
- Ensure policies and procedures of the West Ferris Day Nursery are adhered to
- Promote health, safety and well-being of all children
- Support positive and responsive relationships with families and children
