Responsibilities
- Perform various types of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
- Assess clients' needs and customize treatment plans based on their specific concerns and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment room, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly sanitized.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their health history and any areas of discomfort.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and provide aftercare recommendations.
- Keep accurate records of client treatments and progress.
- Collaborate with other wellness professionals to enhance the overall client experience.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure or certification in massage therapy.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Previous experience in a spa or wellness setting is preferred but not required.
