Overview

Serenity Wellness is looking to hire experienced Registered Massage Therapists to add to our team. The successful candidate would be working as an independent contractor. Compensation is based on a pre-determined percentage of session fees that can be discussed.

Serenity Wellness (previously Serenity Counselling) has been operating as a mental-health private practice for the past seven years, and are expanding to become a multidisciplinary clinic in the Fall. Our vision is to create a whole-person wellness clinic where clients can access trusted professionals who support different aspects of overall health.

Responsibilities

- Conduct client intake and assess individual treatment needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on client goals and presentations
- Provide professional massage therapy treatments within your scope of practice
- Educate clients on aftercare, self-care and strategies that support their goals as appropriate
- Strong understanding of contraindications, treatment planning and appropriate scope of practice.
- Ability to complete thorough client intake, assessment, treatment notes and documentation
- Experience working with clients with chronic pain, stress, anxiety or other wellness concerns




- Engage in ongoing research and professional development to stay current with best practices in patient care.
- Maintain a clean, safe and professional environment

Requirements

- Previous massage therapy experience
- Registration with the College of Massage Therapists of NL
- Professional liability insurance
- Provide a clean criminal record & vulnerable sector check.
- Ability to work independently
- Personal laptop

Pay: $85.00-$120.00 per hour

Education:
- Master's Degree (required)

Experience:
- counselling/therapy: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- certification/license to work as a therapist in NL (required)
