Transform maternal care as a Registered Midwife with the Government of Yukon. Deliver culturally safe, high-quality midwifery services to support pregnant individuals and newborns in Whitehorse. In this full-time position, you will collaborate with the Department of Health and Social Services to ensure optimal care for Yukoners.
Your role will involve building a strong midwifery team, teaching, and providing clinical oversight based on evidence-based practices. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery and meet licensing requirements for Yukon's midwifery practice. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide postpartum and neonatal health care services
- Collaborate within an integrated health team
- Maintain a practice setting focused on quality
- Teach, coach, and mentor junior staff members
- Facilitate care within diverse community settings Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery
- Registered Midwife status in Canada
- Knowledge of risk management and evidence-based practices
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
