The Registered Nurse in the Same Day Surgery Unit supports a high volume from critical/acute areas and works with a diverse adult and pediatric population.
The Registered
Nurse will work within a complex interdisciplinary team and support and facilitate change.
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
- Current BCLS certification
- Physical Assessment Course
- Recent (3 years) experience pediatric and adult surgical skills
- Recent experience in assessing pediatric and adult heart and lung sounds
- Demonstrated recent expertise in pediatric and adult intravenous and venipuncture skills
- Evidence of a commitment to ongoing continuing education
- Evidence of self-directed practice
