This permanent, full time position requires expertise in acute care and patient-centered strategies. In this role, you will work in the Acute Inpatient Medicine Unit, 14 East, at a pioneering digital hospital.
Engage in direct patient care, effective care planning, and proactive mentorship of new staff. Your strong assessment and problem-solving skills will enable you to provide high-quality healthcare to a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care in general, geriatric, and stroke medicine
- Develop and implement effective care plans collaboratively
- Utilize computerized systems for accurate patient documentation
- Engage in hospital committees and collaborative projects
- Guide new nursing staff and pre-grads through mentorship
Requirements:
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Preferred 2 years acute medical/surgical inpatient experience
- Must obtain BCLS certification within 3 months
- Excellent organizational and decision-making skills
- Promote family-centered care through teaching and engagement
