Athletic Advantage Physiotherapy & Wellness is looking for a motivated Physiotherapist with a strong interest in sports rehabilitation, orthopaedics, manual therapy, and exercise-based care to join our growing team in Markham.

We are a sports and orthopaedic-focused clinic built around high-quality, one-on-one patient care. Our caseload consists predominantly of active adults, recreational athletes, weekend warriors, and individuals looking to return to sport and high-level activity.

We’re looking for a clinician who is passionate about developing their skills, values collaboration, and wants to grow within an active, evidence-informed clinical environment.

Both part-time and full-time opportunities are available.

Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate:

- Has a strong interest in sports rehabilitation and orthopaedic physiotherapy
- Values manual therapy and hands-on assessment as part of a comprehensive treatment approach
- Enjoys exercise prescription, strength training, and active rehabilitation
- Is interested in progressing patients from injury through return to activity and sport
- Values evidence-informed practice and strong clinical reasoning
- Is motivated to learn, collaborate, and continue developing their clinical skills
- Is personable and confident communicating with patients
- Is interested in growing with a clinic long term

Experience working with athletes, sports teams, strength training, kinesiology, or athletic rehabilitation is considered an asset but is not required. Structured Mentorship & Development





You'll receive structured weekly one-on-one mentorship directly with the Clinic Owner, an experienced Physiotherapist with over 10 years of clinical experience.

Mentorship is tailored to your development and may include:

- Clinical reasoning, assessment, and case reviews
- Manual therapy and hands-on skill development
- Exercise prescription and progressive loading
- Sports rehabilitation and return-to-sport programming
- Treatment planning, patient communication, and challenging cases

You'll also participate in team-based learning, case discussions, and continuing education alongside our multidisciplinary team.

About Athletic Advantage

Our treatment philosophy combines clinical reasoning, manual therapy, progressive exercise prescription, and patient education to help patients reduce pain, restore function, and return to the activities that matter to them.

Our Markham facility includes a full rehabilitation gym and turf area, Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training, Class 3 laser therapy, strength and rehabilitation equipment, private treatment areas, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

- Registered Physiotherapist or eligible for registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Appropriate skilled liability insurance




- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Genuine interest in sports and orthopaedic physiotherapy
- Interest in manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation
- Commitment to learning and ongoing professional development

Additional training in manual therapy, sports physiotherapy, strength & conditioning, dry needling/acupuncture, concussion rehabilitation, or other orthopaedic areas is considered an asset but is not required.
