Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) – Full-Time

Our small-animal veterinary clinic in NW Calgary is looking for a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our dedicated and growing team.

We are looking for a compassionate, confident, hardworking, and motivated RVT who takes pride in providing excellent patient care and enjoys working as part of a team. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a busy veterinary environment, has strong technical and communication skills, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to support our patients, clients, and team.

What We're Looking For

- ABVMA Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- Previous veterinary experience preferred
- Strong technical, animal-handling, and anesthesia skills
- Compassionate and confident with patients
- Excellent communication and client-service skills
- Positive attitude, robust work ethic, and dependable
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm in a busy environment
- Self-motivated team player who can also work independently
- Willingness to help with all aspects of clinic life, including patient care, cleaning, and kennel care

Responsibilities Include
- Provide high-quality nursing, patient care, and compassionate handling
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, procedures, and radiographs
- Prepare, monitor, and recover patients from anesthesia
- Collect and process laboratory samples and assist with diagnostics




- Administer medications and treatments and dispense medications to clients
- Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with clients
- Prepare and maintain surgical and treatment areas, equipment, and supplies
- Follow proper sanitation, hygiene, and infection-control protocols
- Assist with kennel care, cleaning, reception, and general clinic duties as needed
- Work collaboratively with the entire veterinary team to provide excellent patient and client care
