About Us

Parks Gate Animal Clinic is a privately owned, small animal practice nestled in the valley of Hinton. We currently operate Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, giving our team predictable, manageable hours.

Our owners are based in Grande Prairie, where they also own Railtown Animal Clinic. They wanted to bring the same passion for veterinary care to the surrounding communities, which led them to Hinton and the opening of Parks Gate Animal Clinic. They’re incredibly proud of what they’ve built at both clinics and are passionate about continuing to grow, investing in their teams and equipment, and fostering workplaces where people feel valued.

They believe a career in veterinary medicine shouldn’t come at the expense of your life outside of work. Parks Gate Animal Clinic is committed to building a team where people feel supported, have opportunities to grow, and can build a career they genuinely enjoy.

What’s Coming Next at Parks Gate

We are in an exciting phase of growth! To better serve our community, we are expanding our services to include equine ambulatory care, with plans to construct a dedicated large animal handling facility in the near future.

As our team grows, including welcoming a full time associate veterinarian this fall, we aim to expand into Saturday hours and eventually offer select out of hours coverage.
