About the role

The Primary Health Care Services Registry Administrator plays a key role in supporting Saskatchewan's Flu and COVID-19 immunization programs. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate collection, validation, and back-entry of vaccine data into the provincial Public Health immunization repository. Working closely with clients, immunization providers, and internal stakeholders, the successful candidate will help maintain the integrity of provincial immunization records while supporting broader business services activities, including testing, documentation, training, reporting, and incident support.

What you’ll do

Reporting to the Manager, Primary Health Care Services, you will:

- Enter COVID-19 and Influenza vaccine data into provincial systems.
- Contact clients and immunization providers, including clinics and pharmacies, to verify and validate immunization records.




- Investigate data discrepancies and resolve issues identified during data entry and validation activities.
- Collaborate with Public Health teams and other stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve data-related concerns.
- Generate reports, metrics, and statistics related to data entry and immunization program activities.
- Participate in acceptance testing and validation activities for software releases supporting provincial immunization programs, when required.
- Support documentation development, training activities, and operational business processes.
- Assist with incident support and contribute to ongoing improvements in service delivery and data quality.

What you’ll bring to the team

- A degree or diploma in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or a clinical discipline ideally combined with education or training in information management or technology. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- A minimum of six months of experience in a similar administrative or data entry role.
- Experience working with health information systems, databases, or other enterprise applications, preferably within a health care environment.
- Knowledge of data validation, data cleansing, query generation, and database structures, with a robust focus on data accuracy and integrity.
- Understanding of health information privacy legislation, including The Health Information Protection Act (HIPA), and best practices for handling confidential information.
- Familiarity with health data collection processes from clinical and administrative source systems combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and resolve data-related issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience generating reports.




- A CHIM designation and/or knowledge of medical terminology would be considered an asset.
