Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Renovation Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting various renovation projects, assisting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring that job sites are safe, efficient, and productive. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to transformative renovation efforts.

Duties
- Assist with demolition, site cleanup, and preparation for renovation work
- Support carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople in their tasks
- Operate hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and levels to assist with various tasks
- Use power tools including drills, saws, grinders, and sanders safely and effectively
- Help with concrete forming, finishing, and masonry work to ensure quality results
- Prepare surfaces by caulking, sanding, or priming for painting or finishing work
- Assist with installation of cabinets, flooring, tiles, and other fixtures as directed
- Support heavy equipment operation under supervision when required
- Follow schematics and blueprints to understand project specifications and assist accordingly
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Skills
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for various renovation tasks
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction settings
- Previous construction experience or related training preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, welding, flooring installation and tile laying is advantageous
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when trained or under supervision
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely
- Good physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and working in diverse environments
