Join the NRC’s mission in cryptographic innovation as a Research Officer focused on applied cryptography in Waterloo or Montreal. Engage in advanced research and algorithm development. As a Research Officer, you will support the Digital Technologies Research Centre's activities in applied cryptography and quantum computing.
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD and demonstrate expertise in post-quantum cryptography, project leadership, and team-oriented research efforts. Your work will directly enhance national defence capabilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead research in applied post-quantum cryptography
- Design and implement cryptographic algorithms and protocols
- Build a collaborative post-quantum lab
- Write and review proposals for research funding
- Conduct international technology evaluations Requirements:
- PhD in relevant fields such as cryptography
- Proficient in post-quantum cryptographic development
- Strong programming experience in C/C++ or Python
- Track record of publications in prestigious journals
- Knowledge of open-source cryptographic tools Drive meaningful change in cryptography through your research at the NRC.
