Position Summary Our employer partner is seeking reliable and experienced restaurant staff to join their busy Indian restaurant in Scarborough. Several front-of-house and back-of-house positions are available.
The ideal candidates have previous restaurant experience, solid communication and customer service skills, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to communicate in both Hindi and English and be available to work evenings and weekends.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Packer / Expo
- Prepare and pack food orders accurately and efficiently.
- Check orders for accuracy and completeness before they are provided to customers or delivery drivers.
- Coordinate orders with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Server
- Greet customers and provide friendly and attentive service.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner.
- Maintain clean and organized dining areas.
- Work with kitchen and front-of-house staff to provide efficient customer service.
Bartender
- Prepare and serve beverages according to restaurant standards.
- Provide friendly and skilled customer service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar area.
- Follow restaurant policies and responsible alcohol service procedures.
Dishwasher
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils,
cookware, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and kitchen areas.
- Assist with general kitchen cleaning duties as required.
- Work efficiently to ensure clean dishes and equipment are available during busy service periods.
Qualifications / Requirements
- 2–3 years of relevant restaurant experience is required.
- Must be able to communicate in Hindi and English.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
- Must be available for a minimum of approximately 20 hours per week, with up to 40 hours available depending on business needs.
- Valid Food Handler Certificate required for food-handling positions.
- Valid Smart Serve certification required for Server and Bartender positions.
- Solid customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a professional attitude during busy service periods.
