King Tandoori is looking for a skilled, reliable, and passionate Restaurant Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, experience preparing tandoori dishes and curries, and the ability to maintain quality and consistency in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

- Prepare authentic Indian dishes, including tandoori specialties, curries & hakka.
- Operate the tandoor safely while maintaining consistent quality, flavour, portioning, and presentation.
- Prepare ingredients and coordinate food preparation during busy service periods.
- Maintain inventory, minimize food waste, and follow proper storage and rotation procedures.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized while following all food-safety and sanitation requirements.

Requirements





- Minimum 1 year of professional cooking experience, preferably in an Indian restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, spices, traditional recipes, and tandoor cooking.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, allergen awareness, and proper food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure as part of a rapid-paced kitchen team.
- Ability to communicate in English; Punjabi or Hindi language skills and food-handler certification are assets.

Compensation

This position pays $4,000-$5,000 per month, depending on various factors such as experience & skill.
