Retail Sales Associate

Location: Figure Skating Boutique, Markham, Ontario

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay: CA$19.50 - CA$20.50 per hour

The Role

We are looking for a Sales Associate at our Markham location. Come be a part of our quickly growing and developing team. You will have the exciting opportunity to not only improve your customer experience skills but also expand your knowledge and working experience in the fashion and sporting industries. As a sales associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of the team.

Key Responsibilities

- Build lasting relationships with customers through helpful service and communication.
- Resolve customer issues effectively at the store level in a timely and positive manner.
- Promote products to meet or exceed company sales targets.
- POS (point of sales) transactions and merchandising tasks, such as processing customer transactions, barcoding,



receiving shipments, organizing product displays, inventory management, and front of store/fitting room upkeep.
- Keep current on our product and service.
- Be aspirational to our customers in all aspects of figure skating: fashion, skate technology, and accessories.

Qualifications:
- Knowledge and prior working experience in the retail industry, preferably in sporting goods.
- Working knowledge of LightSpeed and Shopify a definite asset.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to problem-solve quickly and in a polite manner.
- Highly organized. Works well under pressure and can meet scheduled deadlines set by both the individual and the team.
- Able to multitask and learn new products and processes quickly.
- Must possess integrity and follow through on customer commitments.
- Must be available to work weekends as required.
- Post-secondary school education is preferred.
